We must have read about grand ideas for becoming “enlightened,” but the desire of becoming something Buddha or GOD may be last but still the biggest obstacle to be truly realized one , if I have to select one word in whole universe I would choose self-realization , it says and infers everything . for me another term which is very close to my heart that is Vardhamana’, which means “One who grows” is really question whn I am talking about question I am not talking about curiosity; question has a term called QUEST        if the quest is not then the question dose not arise at most it will be inquisitiveness with no value it. The real question arise from your deepest quest .

Reality of the spiritual life – alchemy of loosing

So first let me talk about more common reality of the spiritual life is daily effort to be compassionate and stay attuned to right principles. The “mindfulness” ideas of yoga is the most important step because every moment is considered precious

Real awakening has to happen somewhere inside you, in your subjectivity, in your consciousness, because consciousness knows no time, no space. It is eternal. When peace and power of your knowing that come from living in the moment.

 

Dancer disappears, dance appears

There is a moment when the dancer disappears and only the dance remains. In that rare space one feels harmony. When the singer is completely forgotten and only the song remains, when there is no center functioning and only the song remains, when there is no center functioning as I – the I is absolutely absent – and you are in a flow, that flowing consciousness is harmonious.

To be awake and harmonious creates the possibility for ecstasy to happen. Ecstasy means the ultimate joy, inexpressible; no words are adequate to say anything about it.

And when one has attained to ecstasy, when one has known the ultimate peak of joy, compassion comes as a consequence.

Here are 7 short mindfulness exercises you can incorporate into your day. if you practice theses techniques you will be dangerously close to meditative state. Let’s start

  1. What single breath feels like.

Instead of formal meditation, try paying attention to what one breath feels like. Feel the sensations of one breath flowing into and out from your body. Notice the sensations in your nostrils, your shoulders, your rib cage, your belly etc.

  1. Mindful eating, drinking and even smoking

do mindful eating all the time, try mindful eating whenever you eat For anything pay attention to the sensory experiences – the texture, taste, smell, and appearance of the food, and the sounds when you bite into your food. But it has to be an experiential rather than evaluative way.

 

 

  1. Take a mindful moment to give your brain a break.

Instead of computer in the 5 minutes between any of your acts I personally spend a few minutes watching out my window. I usually watch the peepal or Ficus religiosa tree and its leaves fluttering on the big trees in front of windows .

  1. Air on exposed skin.

Pay attention to the feeling of air on your skin for 10-60 seconds.

This is best done when wearing short sleeves or with naked skin exposed.

 

  1. Scan your body.

Scan your body from top to toe for any sensations of discomfort or tension. Attempt to soften to the sensations of discomfort. Next, scan your body for any sensations of comfort or ease.

  1. Do one action mindfully.

Pick an action you do at the same time everyday and plan to do that action mindfully. For example, the moment you flick out your rolled up newspaper.

 

  1. Truthfulness to thyself

Which leads to harmony of your inner being. One should speak truth and respect to yourself One should be true to his own thoughts, words and deeds to create mutual atmosphere of self-confidence
