In the journey of perfecting various martial arts, shadow boxing combined with mental rehearsal  can be the most important part of any Self-defense training, whether for MuayThai, kravmaga, Kickboxing, Boxing, or even MMA. Let’s talk about why this is so. First of all shadow boxing is the best way to precisely evaluate and improve your technique not just physically but also map it mentally. When shadowboxing in front of a mirror, you can always check your hand positioning, foot positioning, chin positioning, elbow positioning and what you are doing with body as ONE. The constant repetition and reinforcement of seeing/ feeling good technique will in turn create good physically aggressive posturing and muscle memory.
