Avoid weight gain by breathing deeply and exhaling slowly by counting between three to ten counts, lengthening your exhales as your breathing improves. Try repeating a calming mantra such as “” Om or Auṃ or you can say slowww with each exhalation to reinforce a slower breathing pattern. With this my all time favorite positive affirmation like “I am losing weight.” “I am getting fitter and fitter. Repeat these phrases and before too long, they will become true for you.
You can start with simple Diaphragmatic breathing it increases your lung capacity. Then make a habit of deep breathing sit straight and take deep breathes by counting from 1 to 6 (or up to your capacity) while inhaling and 1 to 8 while exhaling. Repeat the same for another 10 to 12 minutes, you will surely feel refreshed and satisfied.

 

Breathe from the Mouth and practice Kapalbhati Pranayama empty abdomen. At advance stage you can also practice bandhas such as Jalandhara Bandha, tucking the chin close to the chest, Mula Bandha, contraction of the perineum. Uddiyana bandha, contraction of the abdomen into the rib cage or the combination of all three bandhas maha bandha .
